A story from Prairie Heights:
Jess Almlie:
"When Ross and I moved back to Fargo last fall, we began
looking for a church that was welcoming and inviting, where the
message was genuine and spoke to our hearts. We were
unsure about attending a new church located in a hotel.
Would there be childcare? We cam expecting the worst,
bringing with us a backpack FULL of toys and snacks.
Happily, we didn't have to dig into it once. Our daughter
Greta found the nursery right away. Now she can't run fast
enough into church each Sunday! We found everything we
were searching for in Prairie Heights - friendly people, an
upbeat worship service, a well-run childcare program, and
message of love for Jesus that speaks to our hearts and allows
us to grow spiritually every week."

from Pastor Jon Hauser:
This past Sunday John walked four miles
to come to church, When I came to shake his hand and give him a
hug, he looked at me and said, "You may not want to do that, I'm
all sweaty." I gave him a hug anyway. I hadn't seen
him in church for over three years. I asked him what
brought him out this Sunday, and he said he had been sober for
three weeks and he knew this was a place he could come and
people would love him and accept him, and he would be challenged
and rediscover his walk with God. After Church I introduced him
to Jeremiah who immediately said can I give you a ride home.
For me, this is why Prairie Heights exists. We wanted
to start a Church that would intentionally reach out and minister to people of all
backgrounds, all ages, sizes and shapes. Our dream was to
design a
church that isn't for those who have already come, but for those
who haven't come or who haven't been in church for years.
It's about connecting or re-connecting with God.
What a great place to be, the most exciting thing we could
possibly be doing. Maybe you're not Jon or Jess - but the
message is still for you! Help us as we seek to start faith
communities across North and South Dakota.
